Stanley Arms Saved From Demolition
Planning permission for the replacement of this Bermondsey pub with a residential block has been refused by Southwark Council.
The owner had sought to demolish the current property and replace with a 4 storey block of flats with retail units on the ground floor.
Whilst not currently a real ale pub it would have been a crying shame to lose this fine Victorian building. In the right hands this Southwark Park Road venue could surely become a destination pub.
