South East London Camra’s Beer and Cider Festival is back!

The 2nd Kidbrooke Beer and Cider Festival (KBCFest) is back, from Thursday 30th April to Saturday 2nd May.

With not long to go until the 2nd Kidbrooke Beer and Cider Festival, we are getting excited about the event, which promises to be bigger and better than before!

Eltham Gold cider returns!

Last year Eltham Gold cider, produced by local cider producer Mike Allen, was the runaway winner of Cider of the Festival, as voted by festival visitors.  Despite huge demand, we have managed to secure very limited supplies for Kidbrooke this year.  We’re pretty sure this popular cider will sell out quickly, so if you want to try it, we suggest you come along on our opening day!

Brewing up a storm

Brand new and created for the festival, we are proud to be serving London Classic Best Bitter from Southwark Brewing. Based on a slightly stronger Bermondsey Best, this dry-hopped ale uses a traditional method to create a great flavour and aroma. Find out more about Southwark Brewing‘s techniques in our meet the brewer session on Thursday evening and meet brewers from Bexley Brewery on Friday evening – from 6.30pm.

Bottled beers

We are excited to let you know that this year we have teamed up with The Beer Shop in Nunhead, who will be providing a selection of bottled beers for the festival across the three days that we are open.  Come along and meet Lee and his team who will be happy to introduce you to his beer range – why not try something different?

Musical line-up announced

We are very excited to announce that we have two fantastic bands lined up to entertain you at Kidbrooke.  On Friday night Mackenzie/Bidgood will be playing their mix of folk, bluegrass and shanties, while on Saturday afternoon We Ghosts will be bringing their Anglo / Swedish blue wave / acoustica mix to the festival.  We’ve heard them both play at local pubs and reckon they’ll make the beer taste even better!

Beer and cider lists now available!

The long-awaited beer list for the festival is now available, along with our extensive range of real ciders and perries! We have a selection of IPAs, milds, porters, golden ales, ciders, perries and much more for your enjoyment over the three days of the festival.  There’s so much to choose from that even the fussiest drinker is bound to find something they love!
